Some changes...

Hi guys!

So, I'm bored at work so I have been fiddling with the blog. Now on the right hand side you can see a blogroll - these are blogs/websites that I check every day. Everyone should add blogs they read! I find it facinating what other people read on the web - it's like when people used to have different tastes in books!

To add to the blogroll, go to the blogger Dashboard, and click on Layout, and from there you can edit the Blog List.

Anyway, thought it might be interesting!

Lily Allen is a hot mess...

I'm not a huge fan of Lilly Allen - I mean, I quite enjoyed her CD 2 years ago, and her Kaiser Chiefs cover is pretty awesome, but I don't read her myspace blog or anything. But I feel the need to point out the awesomeness that is Lily Allen at some awards show over the weekend:

Pink hair? Check. Dress adorned with images of BAMBI'S NECK SLIT?! Check. Cute shoes? Check. Chardonay? Check.

And apparently the night ended like this:

I mean, getting your drunk ass carried out is always sad, but props to her for NEVER LETTING GO OF THE AWARD. I bet she slept with it.

I kinda love Lily Allen.

I promise I'm not going to turn this blog into Perez Hilton. But how freaking rad is that dress? It had to be discussed!

So, my weekend...

Well, I had my last regular season game this weekend with the Tough Cookies. We have already qualified for champs in November, but had one more game against the Sirens. We were currently undefeated, and hoped to remain so. If you can't tell by my speaking in the past tense, we lost. It sucked. There was some questionable reffing (there always is), but in the end, they just squeaked by. Whatevs, we will get them in November. I shall illustrate how I feel about the game with an amusing and unflattering picture of me getting knocked the F down:

I have a tournament at the end of the month where I am skating with the "B" team. We are calling ourselves the LA Golden Girls, since the "A" team wears silver, and we are going to have Bea Arthur printed on our uniforms. We are the "Bea" team - get it?! It really was just a joke that somehow got out of control. After that I have a few months off. I might have to have surgery on my finger, which apparently is not healing (roller derby is bad for healing broken bones, apparently). Anyway, broken fingers crossed I don't have to...

I spent Sunday moping about the loss, and also going to see Sex and the City - which I liked way more than I thought I would! It was a fun crowd - a lot of women dressed up, and as soon as the theme music started, there was cheering...

So Erica if you are Charlotte who is everyone else?! Do I have to be Miranda cause Cynthia Nixon is the real life gay one?

Anyway, that is all the excitement I have had lately. Next weekend is Gay Pride, which means
drunken shenanigans all weekend long in West Hollywood. Although now that I am old and married I don't even know if I will make it up there! So sad!

Alright, that's all I've got - unless I start talking about what I watched on the History Channel lately....

First Blog!

Hello Chica's

So this is my first offical blog and I feel like I have entered this new world...blogging!

Well things are going fine. I have started working out just recetnly after a long hiatus of really not wanting to do anything after the half marathon that I did in January. So I have been feeling pretty good about the exercise and everything until today.

So this is how the converstation went. I am talking to my co-worker about work stuff and I notice that she is staring at my chest ... okay awkward. Then I realize that she is looking at my badge, which has our picture on it. Then she says wow you look really young and different in the picture that must have been pre kids....... Okay so maybe I should run an extra 5 miles today.

besides that my day was pretty okay.

Pinched Nerve

Hello everyone!

Well Megan was right, we had a great time on Friday it was a great reminder that i miss you all and really miss you guys. I went to go see Sex in the City on Sat and that also broke my heart in the sense that no matter what life throws at us..I can always count of my Carrie, Samantha and Miranda! (cause im Charlotte.. I think) that can be a discussion on a later blog! But i really miss you all....

So Sunday I am hurying to get out of the shower and slipped, and went into a split! that hurt! so then I went over to my parents to set up a kiddie pool bent over and sneezed and that did it! I pulled my lower back muscle and have a pinched nerve!!!!!!!.

I hurt like a mother and i need to go back to my masseus so she can kick my ass again!!!!.

So enough about me and my rather sad life! How are you all?

Hey Girls,

This was a fantastic idea. I miss everyone so much. Anybody taking a trip back to EP anytime soon? Erica and I miss you guys! Believe it or not we actually got together last Friday! We discovered we are excellent bowlers. I bowled a 45 and Erica bowled a 56!!! We were very proud of ourselves. Have a great week everybody!!!
